Merinosilk uses Superfine Merino Lambs wool at 17-micron. (Other possum blend garments use thicker Merino wool, which is not as soft and can prickle the skin and use nylon instead of silk)
The Brushtail Possum fibre is mainly hollow, in contrast to fine wools and cashmere, creating a warm and comfortable lightweight garment. Possum fibre is the first new natural fibre to be developed commercially in the last 100 years.
The design are inspired by the dramatic landscape of New Zealand, it's pure natural beauty & pacific heritage. The textures & patterns are inspired by Pacific and Maori motifs.
Merino knitwear has excellent wearing qualities, is soft to handle but prevents pilling.
